Faithbearer Paladin

Faithbearer Paladin originally debuted as an uncommon creature in the 2016 Magic: The Gathering expansion Eldritch Moon. Designed by Wizards of the Coast as part of the set's broader exploration of the corruption of the plane of Innistrad by the Eldrazi titan Emrakul, the card emphasizes the mechanical theme of white-aligned defensive creatures. Its illustration, created by artist Magali Villeneuve, depicts a resolute warrior standing against the encroaching otherworldly horror, capturing the set's core narrative of faith struggling against inevitable cosmic decay.

The item later appeared in 'The List,' a curated selection of reprints integrated into modern Magic: The Gathering booster packs to provide players with access to older, out-of-print cards. Inclusion in The List serves as a bridge for newer players to engage with the aesthetic and mechanical history of the game. While the card is not a rarity in terms of gameplay utility, it is valued by collectors for its representative role in the Eldritch Moon narrative and the distinct, evocative visual language Villeneuve brought to the horror-fantasy genre.
