Fear My Authority // Fear My Authority

Fear My Authority was released as part of the Duskmourn: House of Horror Art Series in 2024. This collection highlights the illustrative work featured in the broader Duskmourn set, which serves as a thematic homage to 1980s horror tropes and supernatural aesthetics. These collectible cards are designed to showcase the complete, borderless artwork of individual Magic: The Gathering cards, allowing players and collectors to focus on the atmospheric visuals that define the set's unsettling tone.

The artwork for this piece was crafted to evoke the classic imagery of haunted houses and psychological tension inherent to the Duskmourn plane. By removing the card's typical frame and text, the design prioritizes the artist's composition and color palette, emphasizing the claustrophobic dread central to the expansion. While these cards are not playable in standard tournament formats, they were received positively by the community as a dedicated way to appreciate the high-quality digital artistry commissioned by Wizards of the Coast.
