Felidar Retreat

Felidar Retreat was originally introduced in the Zendikar Rising expansion as a rare enchantment designed to bolster Landfall strategies. The card is mechanically centered on the synergy between playing lands and generating board presence, offering players a choice between creating tokens or distributing +1/+1 counters to their creatures. It has since become a staple in Commander formats, valued for its ability to provide consistent scaling and utility throughout the mid-to-late game.

This particular version, numbered 574, appears in the Foundations set, which serves as a foundational collection for the Magic: The Gathering ecosystem. The aesthetic direction for this reprint maintains the original themes of the roaming beast-guardians of Zendikar, emphasizing their role as stabilizers on a volatile, changing landscape. As part of the Foundations lineup, its inclusion ensures that this specific mechanical archetype remains accessible to both new and returning players within the modern card pool.
