Fractured Identity // Fractured Identity

Fractured Identity originated as part of the Art Series for the Magic: The Gathering expansion Outlaws of Thunder Junction, released in 2024. This specific art card series celebrates the visual storytelling of the set, which reimagined the game's multiverse through the lens of a classic western frontier theme. The card serves as a high-quality print of the original illustration, showcasing the set's unique aesthetic fusion of high fantasy and lawless desert landscapes.

The artwork was created to capture the chaotic nature of the card's effect, which removes a single permanent and replaces it with tokens for all other players. The composition relies on dynamic perspective and vivid magical energy to convey a sense of sudden displacement. Within the community, these art cards are highly regarded by collectors for providing a clean, borderless look at the intricate illustrations that are often partially obscured by text boxes on the standard game cards.
