Giada, Font of Hope // Giada, Font of Hope

Giada, Font of Hope was originally released as a legendary creature in the Streets of New Capenna set for Magic: The Gathering in 2022. This particular item is a card from the associated Art Series, which celebrates the visual identity of the expansion by featuring a high-quality print of the card's artwork on the front and the artist's signature on the reverse. The design centers on Giada, a key narrative figure in the set who serves as the source of halo, a magical substance central to the plane of New Capenna's economy and underworld power struggles.

The artwork was illustrated by Magali Villeneuve, a prominent artist in the fantasy gaming space known for her ethereal and detailed character portraits. The piece was designed to convey Giada's duality as a sheltered, angelic figure caught within the grittiness of a 1920s-inspired urban setting. As part of the Art Series, this collector piece was released to highlight the intersection of world-building and illustration within the game, aiming to provide fans with a dedicated format to appreciate the intricate fantasy aesthetic without the mechanical gameplay elements typically found on standard cards.
