Where it came from
Giant Inheritance was released in 2023 as part of the Wilds of Eldraine Commander set, a collection themed around the fairy-tale aesthetic of the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. It serves as a rare green enchantment designed to bolster creature-based strategies by providing both a permanent stat boost and an additional resource upon the creature's departure from the battlefield.
The card features artwork by artist Jason A. Engle, whose work often explores high-fantasy motifs within the game. The visual design focuses on the oversized imagery characteristic of Eldraine, emphasizing the whimsical yet dangerous nature of the plane's giant population. It was received by players as a functional utility piece, specifically noted for its synergy in decks focused on sacrificing permanents for value.
