Glen Elendra Pranksters

Glen Elendra Pranksters was featured in the Jumpstart 2022 release for Magic: The Gathering, a product designed to facilitate quick, randomized play experiences by combining two themed half-decks. The card reflects the whimsical and often mischievous nature of the Faerie creature type, which has been a staple of the game's folklore-inspired sets since the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block. Its inclusion in Jumpstart 2022 was intended to provide blue-aligned decks with a disruptive element that rewards players for interacting with the stack during gameplay.

The illustration was crafted by artist Nils Hamm, whose signature atmospheric and painterly style often lends a sense of ethereal mystery to Magic's fantasy creatures. By portraying the pranksters in their natural, dimly lit environment, the art emphasizes the duality of the Faeries as both playful and unsettling. Upon release, the card was received as a solid utility piece within the Jumpstart environment, appreciated by collectors for its thematic consistency with traditional Faerie designs and its functional role in the limited format.
