What it does
Whenever a creature you control connives, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature and a plan counter on this enchantment.
When the sixth plan counter is put on this enchantment, sacrifice it. If you do, exile the top four cards of your library. You may cast any number of spells from among them without paying their mana costs. Put the rest into your hand.

Where it came from
Glorious Purpose was released as part of the 2024 Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drop titled Marvel Super Heroes Commander. Designed to celebrate the iconic characters of the Marvel Universe, the card features the God of Mischief, Loki, reflecting his complex nature and signature arrogance. The illustration captures the aesthetic of modern Marvel comics, emphasizing the character's theatricality and his role as a central antagonist and occasional ally in the multiverse.
The card was developed through a collaboration between Wizards of the Coast and Marvel, aimed at integrating iconic superheroes into the Commander format. Its mechanics are designed to echo Loki's penchant for manipulation and control, allowing players to influence the flow of the game in a manner consistent with his literary and cinematic persona. The reception among the player base has been largely positive, highlighting the thematic cohesion between the artwork and the card's specific gameplay abilities.
