Goblin Bombardment

Goblin Bombardment was originally released in the 1997 Tempest set for Magic: The Gathering, designed as an enchantment that allows players to sacrifice creatures to deal damage to any target. It became a staple of red-aligned sacrifice decks, prized for its low mana cost and efficient synergy with creature-heavy strategies. The card's enduring popularity within competitive and casual formats prompted Wizards of the Coast to feature it in various reprints, ensuring its status as a foundational piece of Magic history.

This specific iteration originates from a Secret Lair drop, a series of curated, limited-release sets characterized by unique, often experimental artistic directions. The aesthetic for this version departs from traditional fantasy tropes, employing stylized, expressive visuals that emphasize the chaotic and whimsical nature of goblins. By commissioning guest artists for these specialized drops, the company aimed to offer collectors a distinct visual interpretation of iconic mechanics, catering to players who value both gameplay utility and thematic, artistic variety.
