Grim Bounty // Grim Bounty

Grim Bounty was released as part of the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Art Series for Magic: The Gathering in 2021. This set was designed to integrate the iconic lore of Dungeons & Dragons into the card game's mechanics and aesthetic, marking a significant crossover event. The art series cards were produced specifically as collectibles, featuring high-quality, full-bleed artwork that allows players to appreciate the visual storytelling without the text box found on standard gameplay cards.

The artwork for this piece was created by artist Igor Kieryluk, whose style is noted for its high-fantasy atmosphere and dramatic lighting. In crafting this illustration, the aim was to evoke the dark, opportunistic flavor of the Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting, emphasizing the tension of a treacherous environment. Upon release, these art cards were well-received by fans of both the game and the source material for their role as prestige collectibles that highlight the talent of Wizards of the Coast’s commissioned illustrators.
