Guardian Idol

The Guardian Idol was released in 2004 as part of the Fifth Dawn expansion, the final set in the Mirrodin block for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Designed by Wizards of the Coast, the card reflects the block's heavy artifact theme and the artificial, metallic nature of the plane of Mirrodin. It functions as both a mana-producing permanent and a creature, a design choice intended to give players strategic flexibility during the transition from the early to mid-game.
