What it does

When you encounter Human—Time Lord Meta-Crisis, each player chooses one or two creatures they control. Each player creates a token that's a copy of the first creature they chose, except it isn't legendary. Then each player who chose a second creature puts a number of +1/+1 counters on the token they created equal to the power of the second creature they chose. (Then planeswalk away from this phenomenon.)

Provenance

Where it came from

The Human—Time Lord Meta-Crisis card was released as part of the Doctor Who Trading Card Game collection. It depicts a pivotal narrative moment from the series where a biological confluence occurs, resulting in a hybrid entity possessing both Time Lord intellect and human physiology. The card is categorized as a common rarity, intended to be accessible to players building decks centered around the Tenth Doctor's story arc.

The artwork was commissioned from illustrator Elizabeth Peiró, who sought to capture the complex duality of the character within the constraints of a standard card frame. Her design emphasizes the emotional intensity of the scene, utilizing a palette that aligns with the visual identity of the Doctor Who card series. Upon its release, the card was received as a functional staple for enthusiasts of the game, valued primarily for its thematic resonance with the television show's lore.
