Hunted Wumpus

Hunted Wumpus was originally introduced in the Ravnica: City of Guilds expansion in 2005 before being reprinted as number 269 in the 2007 Tenth Edition core set. It represents a classic 'group hug' style of card design, where the player gains a powerful creature at a low mana cost in exchange for allowing opponents to put creatures from their hands onto the battlefield as well. This risk-reward mechanic reflects the chaos often found in green-aligned creature decks during that era of Magic: The Gathering.

The card's illustration was crafted by artist Ron Spencer, who has been a prolific contributor to the game since the mid-1990s.
