Where it came from
Impact Tremors was originally introduced in the Dragons of Tarkir set in 2015, quickly becoming a staple in red-aligned aggressive decks for its ability to deal incremental damage whenever a creature enters the battlefield. The enchantment reflects the high-impact, chaotic nature of red mana in Magic: The Gathering, rewarding players for flooding the board with low-cost creatures.
The Enchanting Tales version, released as a bonus sheet within the 2023 Wilds of Eldraine set, reimagines the classic card with thematic artwork consistent with the set's fairy tale aesthetic. Illustrators for this special subset were tasked with capturing the whimsy and folklore-inspired look of Eldraine, moving away from the gritty, draconic imagery of the card's original appearance to better fit the storybook-themed narrative of the expansion.
