Where it came from
Infinity Elemental was originally released as a promotional card for the Unfinity set in 2022, designed to embody the chaotic and meta-narrative spirit of Magic: The Gathering's un-sets. Mechanically, the card explores the boundaries of game rules by utilizing an infinite power and toughness value, a playful nod to the game's complex interactions and the humorous tone characteristic of Wizards of the Coast's silver-bordered design philosophy.
The art, featuring the striking and cosmic aesthetic associated with the Unfinity release, was crafted to visually represent the concept of infinity through vibrant, swirling nebulas and arcane geometry. It serves as a notable inclusion in The List, a curated selection of cards that periodically appear in set boosters, intended to provide players with a mix of mechanical curiosities and thematic highlights from the game's expansive history.
