Provenance

Where it came from

Intet, the Dreamer first appeared in the Planar Chaos expansion in 2007, representing one of the three legendary elder dragons of the Shivan shard. This card was designed as part of a cycle of dragons that introduced color combinations outside of the traditional identity of their parent species, with Intet specifically bridging the gap between green, blue, and red mana. The art, illustrated by Dan Dos Santos, sought to capture the ethereal, prophetic nature of the dragon as it gazes into the temporal mists.

The 2017 Commander reprint of Intet was featured as part of a curated collection designed to support the tribal themes of the preconstructed decks released that year. While originally conceived for the highly experimental mechanics of the Planar Chaos set, its inclusion in the 2017 series served to make a classic, build-around commander more accessible to a new generation of players. It remains a staple for enthusiasts of high-mana, tempo-based strategies who appreciate the ability to cast exiled spells for free.
