Intet, the Dreamer

Intet, the Dreamer first appeared in the 2006 Planar Chaos set, designed as part of a cycle of legendary dragons representing color pie shifts. The character originates from the plane of Dominaria, specifically the shifting timeline where blue, red, and green mana forces converged. This oversized version was released as part of the Commander 2011 product line, a pioneering effort by Wizards of the Coast to support the increasingly popular Commander social format by providing players with large-format cards intended to represent their commanders on the battlefield.

The artwork for this iteration was rendered by Dan Murayama Scott, who aimed to capture the dragon's ethereal and shifting nature as a keeper of future potential. The design highlights the creature's connection to time manipulation and card advantage, themes central to its mechanical identity in Magic: The Gathering. Upon its release, the Commander 2011 series was well-received by the player base for introducing pre-constructed decks that featured these oversized cards, which became highly collectible artifacts of a pivotal era in the game's social expansion.
