Provenance

Where it came from

The Intrepid Rabbit token was released in 2024 as part of the Bloomburrow set for Magic: The Gathering. Created by Wizards of the Coast, this set drew inspiration from cottagecore aesthetics and anthropomorphic fantasy literature, depicting a world entirely populated by animals. The tokens serve as supplemental game pieces generated by various creature spells within the set, ensuring gameplay remains fluid and thematic.

The design of the Intrepid Rabbit reflects the whimsical, storybook-inspired art direction of the Bloomburrow expansion. Illustrator Atey Ghailan provided the art, capturing the brave and humble spirit of the set's central characters. It was well-received by players for its charming artistic quality, which successfully grounded the mechanical function of the token within the cozy, woodland atmosphere established by the rest of the collection.
