What it does
Create two 4/5 green Spirit creature tokens. For each of them, put your choice of a reach counter, a vigilance counter, or a trample counter on it.
After large sections were clear-cut to build Towashi, the once-peaceful Jukai Forest grew violently hostile to outsiders.

Where it came from
Invoke the Ancients was released in 2022 as part of the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The card was designed to represent the intersection of traditional kami spirits and the technologically advanced, cyberpunk-inspired setting of the plane of Kamigawa. This specific printing features a unique aesthetic treatment synonymous with the set's premium promo offerings, intended to highlight the vibrant, neon-drenched art style that defined the expansion's visual identity.
The illustration was crafted by artist Lie Setiawan, who utilized a distinct artistic vision to bridge the gap between the ancient nature of the spirits and the modern, high-contrast aesthetic of the neon era. Upon its release, the card saw moderate play in various formats, earning praise for its thematic representation of Kamigawa's lore. It remains a notable piece for collectors interested in the thematic evolution of the franchise's long-running return to the plane.
