Provenance

Where it came from

The Junk Jet card, numbered 387, was released as part of the Magic: The Gathering 'Fallout' set in 2024. The card is based on the iconic makeshift weapon from the Fallout video game series, which allows players to fire household debris at enemies. This specific iteration in the card game captures the chaotic, scavenger-focused aesthetic that defines the franchise's post-apocalyptic setting.

The design of the card leans into the scrap-heavy visual language of the Fallout wasteland, featuring art that highlights the clunky, jury-rigged machinery constructed from salvaged materials. The card was developed as part of a collaboration between Wizards of the Coast and Bethesda Softworks, intended to translate the game's mechanics of inventory management and resource scavenging into the mechanics of a card game.
