Kor Soldier

The Kor Soldier token was released in 2014 as part of the Commander 2014 supplemental set for Magic: The Gathering. These tokens were produced to provide physical representations for game mechanics that generate creature tokens, specifically for decks centered around the Kor creature type, which is primarily associated with the Zendikar plane in the game's lore. The aesthetic reflects the nomadic, cliff-dwelling culture of the Kor, emphasizing their iconic gear, such as the hooked blades and climbing hooks that define their visual identity.

The art was created to fit the cohesive visual language established by Wizards of the Coast for the Zendikar setting, focusing on a utilitarian and resilient look for the soldiers. Like most tokens in the Commander product line, it was designed to be functional for gameplay while maintaining the high illustrative standards of the card game. It received a standard reception from the player base as a practical utility piece, valued for its utility in gameplay rather than as a primary collectible asset.
