Managorger Hydra

Managorger Hydra was first introduced to the Magic: The Gathering card game in the Magic Origins set, designed as a rare green creature that rewards players for every spell cast during a turn. This specific iteration, printed as collector number 199 in the Commander 2021 release, retains the original mechanical identity of a growing threat that becomes increasingly difficult to manage as the game state progresses.

The art for this card, illustrated by Igor Kieryluk, emphasizes the creature's predatory and regenerative nature, fitting well within the aesthetic standards of the modern green color pie. In the context of Commander 2021, the card was included to provide players with a resilient, scaling threat that functions effectively in multiplayer formats where the cumulative number of spells cast by all players triggers its ability frequently.
