Mazemind Tome // Mazemind Tome

Mazemind Tome was originally introduced in the Core Set 2021 as a versatile artifact card, reflecting the theme of ancient arcane research. In The Brothers' War Art Series, this specific entry features an expanded, borderless illustration that highlights the intricate, clockwork-like nature of the tome, aligning with the industrial and archaeological motifs central to that set's exploration of Dominaria's history.

The artwork for this particular iteration was crafted to emphasize a sense of scholarly discovery, focusing on the tome's mechanical complexity. By re-releasing the card within an Art Series set, the designers aimed to showcase the aesthetic depth of modern Magic: The Gathering illustrations, allowing the lore-heavy imagery to stand independently of the standard game framing. The reception of these art cards has been largely positive among collectors who appreciate the ability to display the artists' work without the constraints of text boxes.
