Where it came from
Might of the Masses was released as part of the Core Set 2020 for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Functioning as a quintessential pump spell, it allows a player to grant a creature +1/+1 for every creature they control until the end of the turn. This design reflects a recurring mechanical theme in green cards, emphasizing the game's focus on creature-heavy board states and explosive offensive plays.
The card features artwork by Wisnu Tan, who captured the visual intensity of a forest-dwelling force gathering strength. Within the context of Core Set 2020, the card served as a functional reprint designed to provide players with a straightforward, effective tool for limited and casual formats. It was received as a reliable common, praised for its clarity of design and its ability to turn a wide board of tokens into a sudden, game-ending threat.
