Mighty Leap

Mighty Leap was included in the 2015 Duel Decks: Elspeth vs. Kiora release, a product line designed to pit two iconic planeswalker characters against each other in pre-constructed play. The card itself, a reprint originally featured in sets like Magic 2013, serves as a common white enchantment meant to provide both a power boost and evasion in the form of flying. Its inclusion in this specific deck was intended to support the aggressive, white-aligned strategy thematic to Elspeth Tirel, allowing her small army of tokens or soldiers to bypass blockers during combat.

The card’s artwork in this iteration was illustrated by Greg Staples, who contributed to various Magic: The Gathering sets throughout the mid-2000s and 2010s. His depiction emphasizes the visceral, athletic nature of the leap, aligning with the functional utility of the spell. While the card is a standard utility piece rather than a flagship design, it remains a staple of the 'Duel Decks' era, which focused on narrative-driven skirmishes and accessible gameplay for intermediate players.
