What it does
Whenever a nontoken creature you control enters, you may pay 2 generic mana. If you do, create a token that's a copy of that creature, except it has haste and "At the beginning of the end step, sacrifice this permanent."
To crack a mirror is to provide an opening for the reflection to escape.

Where it came from
Minion Reflector was released in 2008 as part of the Shards of Alara set for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, this set introduced the concept of the 'shard,' where the world of Alara was split into five distinct planes, each defined by three specific colors of magic. This card, associated with the Grixis shard, was designed to emphasize the theme of death, decay, and the mimicry of life through artificial means.
The artwork was illustrated by Dave Dorman, a celebrated artist known for his atmospheric and cinematic style. Dorman focused on the eerie, mechanical essence of the Reflector, creating a visual identity that captured the grim, high-fantasy aesthetic of the Grixis environment. Upon release, it was regarded by the player community as a niche artifact, primarily utilized in commander formats or casual play for its ability to create temporary, powerful copies of creatures.
