Mockingbird, Bobbi Morse

The Marvel Super Heroes Commander card set was released in the mid-1990s as a specialized series of trading cards designed to appeal to both collectors and players of tabletop games. These cards were crafted to highlight deep-cut characters from the Marvel pantheon, often pairing character portraits with tactical game stats. The set is notable for its focused aesthetic, which leans into the bold, high-contrast illustration style common to 90s comic book art, aiming to capture the intensity of characters like Bobbi Morse during her tenure as an active field agent.

The depiction of Bobbi Morse, known as Mockingbird, emphasizes her role as a skilled martial artist and S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. Illustrators for this set generally sought to balance the character's traditional comic aesthetic with the functional, data-heavy layout required by the game's mechanics. The design was received by the hobby community as a representative entry for the character, providing a dedicated card for a figure who often played a secondary role in larger team-based card sets.
