Where it came from
The Nalathni Dragon was originally commissioned in 1994 as a promotional card for the DragonCon gaming convention in Atlanta. It holds a distinct place in Magic: The Gathering history as one of the first cards produced specifically for distribution outside of standard retail booster packs, marking an early experiment in promotional exclusivity for the game.
