Nesting Grounds

Nesting Grounds was introduced in the Edge of Eternities: Stellar Sights set, a release designed to shift the game's mechanical focus toward environmental interaction and territorial control. The card was crafted to represent the concept of a sanctuary within a volatile cosmic expanse, providing players with a strategic anchor point that rewarded defensive playstyles and careful board management.

The visual design was spearheaded by the lead art team at the studio, who aimed for a tranquil, bioluminescent aesthetic to contrast with the chaotic space themes dominant elsewhere in the set. Its reception was largely positive among competitive players, who appreciated its subtle utility and the atmospheric world-building it provided, helping to flesh out the lore of the distant, uncharted star systems depicted in this expansion.
