What it does
Creatures you control get +2/+1 until end of turn. Investigate. (Create a Clue token. It's an artifact with "2 generic mana, Sacrifice this token: Draw a card.")
For all their differences, Kaya, Kellan, and Agrus Kos agreed on one thing: none of them would rest until Teysa's murderer was brought to justice.

Where it came from
On the Job was released in 2024 as part of the Murders at Karlov Manor set for Magic: The Gathering. The card draws thematic inspiration from the murder mystery genre, reflecting the set’s investigation-heavy mechanics and the noir-influenced aesthetic of the Ravnica plane. It was designed as an uncommon white spell meant to represent the organized effort of creatures banding together to complete a task, fitting into the set's broader mechanical focus on creature-based synergy and tempo.
The illustration was created by artist Livia Prima, who has contributed extensively to the Magic: The Gathering visual identity. Her work on this piece captures the busy, bustling nature of the cityscape, utilizing a dynamic perspective to emphasize the collective action suggested by the card's effect. Upon its release, the card was noted by players for its utility in go-wide strategies, where its ability to buff multiple attacking creatures proved effective in limited formats.
