Panic Attack

Panic Attack was originally introduced in the Portal set in 1997, designed as part of an introductory product line aimed at simplifying the rules of Magic: The Gathering for new players. The card functions as a red sorcery that forces an opponent's creatures to attack, a tactical tool used to leave a defensive line vulnerable or to maneuver blockers into unfavorable combat situations.

The Eighth Edition printing, released in 2003, marked the first time the card appeared in a core set. The art for this version was provided by Glen Angus, whose bold, expressive style captured the chaotic essence of the effect. Within the context of the core set transition, this printing helped solidify the card's status as a quintessential red common, prized by players for its direct impact on combat phases during limited play.
