Where it came from
Portent was originally released as a common card in the 1996 Alliances expansion for Magic: The Gathering, featuring art by Donato Giancola. The card was designed as a blue sorcery that allows a player to look at the top three cards of any library and rearrange them, followed by an additional card draw on the next turn.
