What it does
Each noncreature spell you cast has conspire. (As you cast a noncreature spell, you may tap two untapped creatures you control that share a color with it. When you do, copy it and you may choose new targets for the copy. A copy of a permanent spell becomes a token.)
"Keep enemies close . . . and elves closer."— A tale of Auntie Wort

Where it came from
Raiding Schemes was released as part of the Lorwyn Eclipsed Promos, a promotional set associated with the 2007 Magic: The Gathering expansion, Lorwyn. The card was distributed through organized play events, specifically serving as a player reward for participants during the expansion's release cycle. This practice of offering foil, alternate-art, or stamped promotional cards was a staple of Wizards of the Coast's strategy to encourage community engagement at local game stores.
The art for this specific printing was designed to reflect the whimsical, folkloric aesthetic of the Lorwyn plane, which drew heavy inspiration from Celtic mythology and European fairy tales. The illustration emphasizes the dark, mischievous nature of the set's goblin creatures, characteristic of the 'Kithkin' and 'Goblin' tribal themes that defined the mechanics of the block. Upon its release, it was received as a functional, niche utility card that appealed primarily to collectors of the set's specific promotional sub-series.
