Rakdos Carnarium

The Rakdos Carnarium is a staple of the Magic: The Gathering landscape, first introduced in the Ravnica: City of Guilds set as part of the 'bounceland' cycle. These lands were designed to represent the diverse districts of the plane of Ravnica, with the Carnarium specifically depicting the hedonistic and chaotic territory controlled by the Rakdos Cult. Mechanically, they are utility lands that provide two mana of specific colors while returning another land to the player's hand, a trade-off that has made them a permanent fixture in various casual and Commander formats for nearly two decades.

This specific version, released in the Double Masters 2022 set, features artwork by Titus Lunter. Lunter’s illustration captures the dark, theatrical, and volatile nature of the Rakdos guild, emphasizing the grotesque spectacle inherent to their aesthetic. As a high-value reprint set, the Double Masters iteration is noted for its polished presentation and its inclusion in a collection designed to highlight powerful and iconic staples from the game’s history, reinforcing the card's status as a fundamental tool for players navigating multi-colored strategies.
