Rashmi, Eternities Crafter

Rashmi, Eternities Crafter was originally introduced in the Kaladesh expansion in 2016, though this specific printing originates from the 2020 Commander series. The card design draws from the setting of Kaladesh, a plane defined by its emphasis on invention, artifact-heavy engineering, and the pursuit of Aether-powered technological progress. As the Head of the Aether Spire, the character Rashmi represents the narrative intersection of genius and ambition, designed by Wizards of the Coast to reward players for casting spells during their opponents' turns.

The art, illustrated by Magali Villeneuve, captures the character's focused, scholarly nature amidst the swirling, ornate machinery of her workshop. Her ability—which allows players to cast the top card of their library for free if it costs less than the spell they just cast—became a staple of Simic (Green-Blue) deck archetypes. The design was praised for its elegance in translating the flavor of a master inventor into a mechanical engine that encourages strategic, reactive gameplay.
