Run Away Together // Run Away Together

Run Away Together was originally introduced as a common instant in the 2017 Magic: The Gathering expansion set, Eldraine, designed to facilitate the set's fairy tale theme of adventure and trickery. The 'Eclipsed Art Series' iteration featured here represents a specialized promotional printing, produced as part of a recurring initiative to showcase the game's expansive illustration talent by presenting high-quality, frame-less card art that emphasizes the visual narrative over the traditional mechanical layout of the game.

The artwork for this particular piece reflects the whimsical and slightly melancholic aesthetic often associated with the folklore-inspired planes of the Magic multiverse. By focusing on the evocative relationship between the two figures in the frame, the design choice highlights the collaborative nature of the card's function—allowing two creatures to return to their owner's hand—and provides a more immersive, canvas-like experience for collectors who appreciate the cinematic quality of modern fantasy illustration.
