Runo Stromkirk // Runo Stromkirk

Runo Stromkirk was introduced in the 2021 Magic: The Gathering expansion, Innistrad: Crimson Vow. The character represents the patriarch of the Stromkirk vampire lineage, a major faction within the game's gothic horror setting. As part of the Art Series, this specific card showcases a larger, borderless version of the artwork originally featured on the main set's rare legendary creature card, allowing players to appreciate the intricate details of the character's design without the interference of game mechanics.

The illustration was created by artist Yongjae Choi, who focused on capturing the aristocratic yet predatory essence of the Stromkirk bloodline. The design emphasizes the character's connection to the sea and the deep-water horrors of Innistrad, utilizing a dark, moody palette consistent with the Crimson Vow aesthetic. These Art Series cards are highly regarded by collectors for their high-quality print finish and the inclusion of the artist’s signature printed on the face of the card, providing a gallery-like presentation of the game's core visual identity.
