Seachrome Coast // Seachrome Coast

Seachrome Coast was originally introduced as a land card in the 2010 Scars of Mirrodin expansion, designed as part of a cycle of allied-color fast lands meant to provide efficient mana fixing for aggressive decks in the Magic: The Gathering competitive scene. The artwork featured in the Zendikar Rising Art Series release represents a visual re-contextualization of the card, highlighting the original illustration by Cliff Childs, who utilized a clean, expansive aesthetic to capture the distinct aesthetic of Mirrodin's metallic landscape.

The Zendikar Rising Art Series cards were released in 2020 as a series of collectible, non-playable cards included in set boosters. These cards were intended to showcase the high-quality, high-fantasy illustrations commissioned by Wizards of the Coast, printing the artwork on the front with a clean frame and providing details about the piece on the reverse. Collectors value these items for their presentation of the art without the distraction of gameplay text, effectively turning functional game components into curated art prints.
