Seton's Scout was originally featured as a core component of the green-black 'Opposition' deck played by Sim Han How during the 2002 Magic: The Gathering World Championship. These World Championship Decks were released by Wizards of the Coast as commemorative boxed sets, allowing players to purchase exact replicas of the decks used by the top competitors. The cards in these sets are distinct from standard releases, featuring gold-bordered backs and the player's signature printed on the face, marking them as non-tournament legal collectibles intended for casual play and display.
