Sidisi, Brood Tyrant // Sidisi, Brood Tyrant

Sidisi, Brood Tyrant first debuted in the 2014 Magic: The Gathering set Khans of Tarkir, representing the vizier of the Sultai Brood. The character was designed as a Sultai-aligned legend centered on self-mill mechanics, embodying the faction's focus on death, rot, and undeath. This specific card is part of the Commander Masters Art Series, a specialized subset released in 2023 that celebrates the visual history of the game by showcasing the original character art on high-quality, oversized art cards without gameplay text.

The original illustration was created by artist Min Yum, who sought to capture the character's terrifying, serpent-like elegance as the leader of the Sultai. The artwork leans into the faction’s necrotic aesthetic, emphasizing the connection between Sidisi and the undead thralls she commands. Within the hobby, the Art Series cards are valued primarily by collectors and fans of fantasy illustration, serving as a focused retrospective of Magic's most iconic legends.
