Silverquill Campus

Silverquill Campus was released in 2021 as part of the Strixhaven: School of Mages Commander expansion. It represents one of the five dual-colored 'campus' lands designed for the set, specifically embodying the aesthetics and values of Silverquill College, the institution dedicated to the intersection of eloquence and combat. The land serves a mechanical role in Commander gameplay, offering players a choice between mana colors or the ability to scry, reflecting the academic and tactical preparation inherent to the university setting.

The card’s visual direction was led by the Wizards of the Coast art team, who utilized the set’s distinct high-fantasy, collegiate art-deco style. The illustration emphasizes the ink-and-quill motif central to Silverquill's identity, featuring ornate architecture that suggests both a seat of learning and a theater of power. Upon release, the cycle of campus lands was well-received by players for its utility in multi-colored decks and its ability to smooth out draws through the scry mechanic, solidifying it as a staple for budget-conscious and thematic deck-builders alike.
