What it does
Look at the top two cards of target opponent's library. Exile one of them face down and put the other on the bottom of that library. You may play the exiled card for as long as it remains exiled, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast that spell.

Where it came from
Siphon Insight was released in 2024 as part of the Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander set for Magic: The Gathering. The card was designed to fit the set's western-inspired aesthetic and crime-themed mechanics, reflecting the high-stakes, opportunistic nature of the plane's outlaw-dominated landscape. Mechanically, it serves as a card advantage tool that emphasizes the set's focus on casting spells from opponents' libraries, embodying the flavor of a heist or a clever theft.
The artwork for the card captures the gritty, adventurous spirit central to the Thunder Junction setting, highlighting the visual motifs of frontier fantasy. As part of a Commander-focused expansion, the card was developed to provide versatile, interactive play patterns for social multiplayer formats. It was received by players as a thematic and functional addition to blue-aligned decks that utilize theft-based strategies, fitting seamlessly into the established lore of the set's criminal underworld.
