The Skyshroud Sentinel was released in early 2000 as part of the Nemesis expansion for Magic: The Gathering. As the second set in the Rath Cycle, Nemesis was designed to conclude the storyline involving the plane of Rath and the conflict between the Phyrexians and the Weatherlight crew.
