Soul's Majesty

Soul's Majesty was introduced as a rare card in the 2009 Magic: The Gathering expansion set Conflux, which served as the second installment in the Alara block. The set was designed to explore the confluence of the five shards of Alara, focusing on the mechanical and thematic blending of disparate mana colors. This card was specifically crafted to represent a high-impact green sorcery, rewarding players who possessed large creatures by allowing them to draw cards equal to that creature's power.

The card’s illustration was provided by artist Dan Dos Santos, who sought to capture the essence of a powerful, regal creature channeling its inner strength. The design leans into the thematic identity of the Naya shard, emphasizing the raw, massive power associated with the color green. Upon its release, it was well-received by players for its potential as a powerful mid-to-late game utility card, establishing itself as a staple in various Commander decks due to its synergy with strategies centered on creature-based win conditions.
