Spark Elemental

Spark Elemental was first introduced in the 2003 Magic: The Gathering expansion Scourge. As a creature with haste and trample that sacrifices itself at the end of the turn, it represents the quintessential 'ball lightning' effect in red magic, emphasizing immediate, high-impact aggression over long-term board presence. This specific version from the Ultimate Masters Tokens set serves as a dedicated physical representation of the token created by various red spells.

The art for this iteration continues the stylistic evolution of red-aligned elemental creatures within the game. It draws upon the visual language of volatile fire and raw magical energy that has defined the archetype for decades. When included in the Ultimate Masters product, the card was designed to provide players with a high-quality, thematic accessory that streamlines gameplay by clearly marking the presence and ephemeral nature of the elemental on the battlefield.
