What it does
At the beginning of your upkeep, mill three cards. Then if your library has no cards in it, exile this enchantment and put five cards from your graveyard on top of your library in any order.

Where it came from
Stillness in Motion was released as part of the Fate Reforged set in 2015, which serves as the middle chapter of the Magic: The Gathering Tarkir block. The set explores a timeline where the dragonlord Ugin was not killed by Nicol Bolas, allowing dragons to remain the dominant force on the plane. This specific card reflects the thematic focus on the shifting temporal landscape and the strategic manipulation of combat phases integral to the set's mechanics.
The card features illustration by Johann Bodin, whose work during this era often leaned into high-fantasy landscapes and ethereal magical effects. The design intent behind Stillness in Motion was to provide a rare enchantment that alters the pace of creature combat, encouraging players to manage their mana and timing in a way that emphasizes the card's namesake. It was received as a niche utility piece for Commander and casual formats, valued for its ability to stall aggressive strategies.
