Where it came from
Stolen by the Fae was released as part of the Foundations Jumpstart set, a product line designed to act as an accessible entry point for new Magic: The Gathering players. The set focuses on iconic themes and mechanics, reimagining classic concepts in a format that allows players to combine two distinct themed packs into a ready-to-play deck without the need for traditional deckbuilding.
The card features artwork that leans into the whimsical yet unsettling aesthetic traditionally associated with fae creatures in fantasy lore. The design aims to capture the essence of spontaneous, mischievous magic, fitting within the blue color identity of the game by providing interaction through a temporary removal effect. It was received as a straightforward, functional inclusion for the set, meant to demonstrate core game mechanics while contributing to the cohesive, beginner-friendly experience that defines the Foundations release.
