Tannuk, Steadfast Second // Tannuk, Steadfast Second

Tannuk, Steadfast Second originates from the Edge of Eternities Art Series, a collection released by Wizards of the Coast to showcase the illustrative craft behind the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. These cards are designed as high-quality, frame-less reproductions of the original digital or traditional art pieces created for the main expansion set, intended to elevate the visual storytelling of the game's expansive lore.

The art features a stylized depiction of the character Tannuk, emphasizing the stoic, protective nature associated with the figure's role in the set's narrative. Illustrators involved in the series are commissioned to expand upon the visual motifs established by the game’s creative team, focusing on atmospheric detail and character silhouette to ensure the piece stands as a coherent artistic work outside of its functional card game mechanics.
