What it does
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you're eating, create a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying. Use food to represent the token.
Whenever a creature token you control dies, if it's represented by food, eat it.
They all thought her dream was just pie in the sky.

Where it came from
Thopter Pie Network is a silver-bordered card released as part of the 2017 'Happy Holidays' promotional set. These cards are unique in the Magic: The Gathering ecosystem, as they are not sold in boosters or standard retail products but are instead distributed exclusively by Wizards of the Coast to employees, partners, and associates during the year-end holiday season. Because of this limited distribution model, they function more as a commemorative token of the company's internal culture than as part of the formal game meta.
The card was illustrated by Johannes Voss, who utilized the set's inherent freedom from standard color pie and mechanical constraints to create a whimsical, holiday-themed design. The mechanics of the card—which involve creating Thopter tokens—playfully lean into the holiday spirit while subverting traditional gameplay rules. It was received by the community as a lighthearted collector's piece that highlights the collaborative and often humorous relationship between the developers and their player base.
