Provenance

Where it came from

Treasure Vault was released in 2024 as part of the Magic: The Gathering Fallout Commander deck series. This card was designed to mechanically represent the iconic vaults found throughout the Fallout franchise, which served as both refuge and experimental testing grounds for survivors of the Great War. The artwork, consistent with the set's aesthetic, emphasizes the retro-futuristic industrial design that defines the series' visual identity.

Mechanically, the card was crafted to support deck strategies involving artifact synergy and mana acceleration, reflecting the utility of scavenging resources in the wasteland. It was developed by the Wizards of the Coast design team in collaboration with Bethesda Softworks to ensure the card's function aligned with the thematic tone of the Fallout universe. Upon its debut, players recognized it as a functional utility land that fits seamlessly into artifact-themed Commander decks.
